History
Wind power in Nicaragua, had never been seen eating a viable option because the investment is required, however due to climatic factors and rising oil prices, started with a wind energy project located in Rivas, which Wind Farm is now the Amayo.
The Wind Project Amayo increased energy supply in Nicaragua and helped reduce the deficit of energy with an annual generation of 169.000 MWh.
The wind farm has helped reduce the consumption of imported oil to replace its use by a renewable energy source, helping to diversify the energy matrix, strengthened in renewables and giving greater certainty to the electrical system.
